Male Chauvinists ALERT!!!

Masalah: Suami curang

Punca Masalah:

:: Isteri tidak tahu mengendalikan rumahtangga
(tidak tahu membasuh baju, tidak pandai memasak etc.)
:: Isteri tidak tahu mengambil hati suami
:: Isteri tidak mengikut kehendak suami
:: Isteri suka marah tanpa sebab
:: Si Suami tidak mengawal nafsu
:: Godaan daripada pihak ketiga

Alternatif Penyelesaian Masalah:

:: Isteri perlu menjaga rumah dengan baik
:: Isteri mesti tahu menjaga hati suami

and other similar suggestions, to that effect.

I don't know about you, but as a FEMALE, I was extremely offended by this presentation by one of the groups in my Decision-Making class.

All 5 of them -- males. No surprise there.

Is it just me, or, according to them, 4 out of the 6 main reasons they came up with for philandering, cheating husbands, is because of the WIFE??

Are you telling me, that when husbands cheat on their wives, their reason is, "My wife nags too much," or "You don't understand! My wife just can't cook!!!" or even "She put my whites and colours in the wash together. I mean, how can you blame me for finding someone else?"

WTH.

Stop blaming the WIFE and look at the HUSBAND for goodness sake. Who are the ones in the wrong here?

What is his excuse? What are the alternatif that he should take?

The husbands are cheating on their wives, and they blame it on the fact that the wife does not know how to properly mengambil his hati?

W.T.H.

There is no denying that there are some brainless, useless morons who actually do cheat on their wives for such idiotic reasons such as those mentioned above.

But those are petty reasons! Not substantial enough! Those are not core issues!

If it were me, I would put reasons such as:

:: marital problems
:: lack of communication between husband and wife
:: husband is a complete IDIOT

Now, those are the real and important issues.

WTH.

There are women who are the best wives, the perfect example of isteri mithali, who do all they can, the best they can. Women who (by their reasoning), can cook, and do the laundry properly, and please their husbands, and not nag. And yet, their husbands (for who knows what excuse) still cheat on them, not satisfied.

Is it still the wife's fault? What's the reason now? She did not wear his favourite colour? Her hair was in a mess when she met him at the door? Sheesh.

You know what was most disappointing for me?

To think that this kind of sexist, male chauvinistic reasoning, this kind of narrow-minded, shallow, despicable and biased mindset, can come from educated university students.

And the worst part is, I don't think they have even the slightest idea that what they have just presented to the class, could be offensive, or that it might be wrong.

We were given a task to research on, and explore an issue, and this is what they come up with?

Reflects the kind of thinking they have.

I am deeply shocked.

Un. Be. Lievable.

WTH

i don't know per se on what is all about, but i think the group actually need to consider the sensitivity of the rest of the audience before they actually present such topic.

its obvious going to be a gender-approached topic, might as well just stay neutral and keep away from misconstrued topics like that.

haih... so unprofessional!

Chill chill, no experience kut. Ever thought of telling one of the group members (if you do know one/two of them?). But actually how come the lecturer approve this topic? ... It's... not appropriate, IMHO.

I don't know the guys. They seem like from FPI, and worse, they're SECOND-YEAR students. Personally I don't think the topic was inappropriate. I mean, it IS an interesting topic to cover. What are the REAL reasons husbands cheat on their wives? Is it possible there are genetic factors? Psychological? You know?
What was REALLY inappropriate was their response. UGH.

chilll....chilllll....(fanning lis)

well.....i think it fall for both for adultery....Its not necessary for men to cheat when the wife are not alert, but the wife will know...its call women's sense. its 96% accurate, so don't be bother by the presentation
whoa.. Lisa,
I can understand where u come from about this 'male chauvinist' issue. It's politically and wrong for those men to say that, yes. And not everyone is educated in those areas, EVEN THOUGH they are university students.

However, prevent your disagreement germinate to higher levels aha! Those men have reasons of their own to put it down. So maybe you might wanna ask them why they answered the way they did.

Next, don't take my word for theology k. =)

Adding on to what terence mentioned, I'm sure there are other reasons. I.e, perhaps addiction to sex and pornography. Did u know that some men enter marriage with sexual baggage that it affects their relationship with their spouse?

Maybe the males experience that, as a result the females dont think their husbands are satisfied, hence they begin to nag, hence... etc etc etc..

So ya, there's so much more to these issues than our perspectives. Ya?
