Let Me Be Your Wings





You know, only recently, I have discovered the wonders of YouTube.
Seriously.

I mean, before this, I used YouTube to watch music videos and funny clips.
But did you know you could actually watch movies on YouTube? Albeit in parts.
But you can actually watch whole movies on YouTube!!

Oh. You already knew that?
Well, humour me all right? >.<   


We watched Never Been Kissed, The Wedding Singer, Driving Miss Wealthy, and Mulan 2 (in Polish - it was loaded by accident). And then I discovered that my old favourite cartoons were on YouTube too!

OMG.

I used to have them in video tapes. You know the ones you play with the VCR?
They're all spoiled now. Which is sad because the beauty of those animated movies is gone when the tape is.

I missed them.

I found Cats Don't Dance first. OMG. I LOVED that cartoon.
Watching it again felt sooooo good. It brought back sweet childhood memories.
I used to watch the VCR over and over and over again.
Darla Dimple and Danny the Cat and Tilly the Hippo! And they all sing and dance!! :P
They taught me to always believe in your dreams, even when no one else does; to never give up or allow anyone to look down on you because of who you are. :)

Then I found Fern Gully. I remembered Crysta and Zack and evil Hexxus who wanted to destroy the forest. And I was reminded that we as humans are the khalifah or the caretakers of Earth (I remember my TITAS okay) and it is our responsibility to guard it, preserve it. All of us, have that magic of creation. :)

I was excited now. I searched for Thumbelina. OMG. I can't believe it really was on YouTube!!
Ah, the beautiful lyrics and melodies of a Walt Disney movie is, up till now, incomparable!
I loved Thumbelina for its music and characters and most of all, romance. Oh, to fall in love at first sight!
To love, and to have that love returned! The sweetness of young romance can give you a toothache - and I mean that in a good way. :P 
Thumbelina and Prince Cornelius simply belong together. Nothing else will do.

Oh, after watching that I had their duet song stuck in my head. It's called Let Me Be Your Wings (watch it!!).
Ahhhhh, the romance.....sighh.

Cornelius.... so that was the Prince name...i still have the old VCRs but i don't know whether they are still in working conditions... I use to love watching the Disney production... Mary Poppins is nice and Mulan, they are fun to watch and i have them i VCD... whoohooo...

don't just talk about these cartoons... how about those sunday school song.... i loved sing them too...

Bravo, grandma. Even my 5 year old cousin knew how to log in to Youtube to watch Tom & Jerry. Well..considering your old age...I guess it's not too late to realize it NOW! Talk about being tech savvy...Hey grandma, spend less time on your rocking chair and 1976's beauty magazines will you? :P

you guys definitely grew up on cartoons
kind of a baby sitter lah
ooh ... very mesmerized by the cartoons of those days ie your childhood days
have the cartoon video on and all eyes are glued to the screen
soar with the music and songs to cartoon land
and watching them over and over again ...
just a pity vcr cant be stored for long periods of time
so you found the treasured pearls on U tube huh..
wonder whether you can load them to keep???

Awww... i still remember the cartoon! Dont remember the song tho. Gonna go check it out! And yes i use youtube to watch movies as well... hehe... its fab! i watched swan princess 1 and 2! 3 gonna watch after exam. hehe. Have you watched swan princess? omg i love that show. seriously. and the song!! 'far longer than forever'... *tears up*

Ahaha. Sy ni memang suka rock jugak la. Bukan yg giler rock la, yg agak rock sy suka sangat. I LOVE David Cook dengan Chris Daughtry okay. Sy ni bukannya semua jiwang2 songs only la. ahaha Cuma, buat masa ni tengok2 cartoon lama teringat pula masa zaman kanak2 suka sangat lagu dgn semua fairy tale ni. Best laaaa. Rinduuuuu XD

This Old Man

I grew up with nursery rhymes. I don't remember actually learning them in kindergarten, but give me one line, and I'll be able to tell you the rest. Well, most of it anyway. I guess Tadika Kiddyhouse did a good job in teaching kids their nursery rhymes. (No, no, no understanding needed. Just rote memorization! Good job!) :D I can remember every word to "Hey Diddle Diddle". I hate it. I really reaaalllllyyyy despise it. >.<  Oh. I don't mean teaching profession the profession . I meant teaching profession the subject . Yes, I know it's pretty strange to study the subject Teaching Profession when I'm in the teaching profession. But I do. Paper was over and done with. TODAY. *cheers* And boy, am I relieved. Relieved is an understatement. I have been frustrated studying for a subject before. I have struggled with a subject so bad I wanted to give up. But never, NEVER as it was with Teaching Profession - the subject. First pain-in-the-butt fact : Teaching Profession - the subject - is taught in English. Finals was in English. Text book given in MALAY. Bahasa Malaysia. Our beloved national language.  Don't get me wrong. I have nothing against our national language. Honest. But come onnnnnn.
